The Northville Civic Concern is a charitable organization that supports area families in need with food and basic supplies. They have been a source of much needed support for area families for years. COVID-19 has impacted many families and need for assistance is high at this time.
NOVI Energy, a family owned enterprise, reached out to the Northville Civic Concern to explore how best to help our neighbors in need. We also reached out to the leadership of Meijer, a major grocery chain in Michigan. Their response was immediate. Meijer decided to supply much needed groceries and matched NOVI Energy’s donations.
“We (the Northville Civic Concern) were pleased to receive over $10,000 of groceries from NOVI Energy and Meijer. We had a surge in the number of families that needed this assistance, and this help is very timely and useful”, said Marlene Kunz, Director of the Northville Civic Concern.
The Northville Meijer store arranged for the supplies to be delivered. “Meijer is pleased to partner with NOVI Energy and support a cause that is dear to us,” said store director, Lavinel Puja. “Delivery of these groceries will be useful to many neighborhood families in need.”
“Growing up, our children have worked at and volunteered at the Northville Civic Concern. We are thankful for the opportunity to be of service to our community at this time of need,” said Anand Gangadharan, President of NOVI Energy. “The Civic Concern is a true service organization and we thank them for their selfless service. We are happy and thankful to the team and leadership of Meijer for partnering with us.”
