Project Description
NOVI Energy was awarded the contract to conduct the feasibility study in 2014 to assist Royal Power in addressing the technical and financial feasibility of erecting and operating a 275 MW natural gas-fired power plant located in Lagos State, Nigeria. The feasibility study will be used by Royal Power to obtain a power generation license from the Nigerian Electric Regulatory Commission.
The feasibility study focused on utilizing gas turbines. NOVI conducted a site walk down, hosted a public environmental forum, and held discussions with potential gas suppliers, transmission grid company, state and federal government ministries, electric regulators, and potential financiers.
